Voluntary Statement

This is a voluntary accessibility statement. Privacy Share is a free, non-commercial website operated by a private individual and is not legally obligated under the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) or BITV 2.0. We publish this statement because we believe digital accessibility is a fundamental value — not just a legal requirement.

Conformance Standard

We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities.

Conformance Status

We believe this website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Largely conformant" means that some content may not fully conform to the standard in all areas.

Privacy Share takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

Support for increased contrast preferences (prefers-contrast)
Screen-reader-friendly decorative elements (aria-hidden)
Responsive design from mobile to desktop
No CAPTCHA or bot-detection barriers

Forms with proper labels, copy buttons with ARIA labels, keyboard-operable.

EXIF Cleaner

Drag-and-drop zone accessible via keyboard (Enter/Space), metadata table with proper headers.

WebP Converter

Quality slider with live aria-live updates, progress bar with progressbar role, keyboard-accessible file upload.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some limitations may exist:

Dynamically generated content (share URLs, conversion results) may not be announced in all screen reader configurations.
Some client-side-only tools (EXIF Cleaner, WebP Converter) rely on JavaScript and cannot function without it.
